The COVID-19 pandemic caused the Northwest Cardiovascular Management Association organizing committee to make the decision to hold its 1st ever virtual event. The Web-ex was held on Tuesday November 10th, 2020 with about 20 leaders. General topics were submitted prior to event to direct the round table discussions with the most pressing issues.

Colin Olson (President) and Christopher Turner (Secretary) announced the creation of the Cardiovascular Leadership Society non-profit that will be the oversight company for future events. During the conference, it was also announced that board of directors were needed to help manage the newly created non-profit.

The vision of the company will be to continue the success of the regional in-person annual conference and slowly expand to other parts of the U.S.

Once the pandemic is at a point for safe traveling and meeting in person, the regional conference will resume.

If other cardiovascular leaders are interested in bringing the success of this conference into their region of the country, the non-profit will support the financial investment and planning algorithm to implement the conference.
